Hallo all
CR 8.5
I'm still a newbe to this prg. and i wonder if anybody out there could help me.
my problem is that i need to get a report to use a parametre, in my case i want it to prompt the user to only
have to insert wich week in the present year they want the given records to be showen from eks. week 8, so that they only will have to insert the number = 8 in the given parameter.
I hope that explains my problem good enhough.

Create a parameter of type number (Insert->Field Object->right click Parameter Fields and select new).

Reference this parameter in the record selection criteria (report->Edit Selection Formula->Record):

datepart("ww",{Table.date},{?WeekParm})

The report will now prompt for the parm at refresh time, and will limit the rows accordingly.

Hi synapsevampire and everybody else.

I have now tried your suggestion and it looked good to me, but i get prompted for a number in the formula
datepart("ww",{Maintain.DATE},{?weekparm})

I have set parmeter up as you suggested new parm - number
and i have tried to manual ad numbers from 1 to 52 and again without numbers?
i dont have any tables with numbers in.
