I had a particular report that uses a parameter to select between different newspapers. Well I copied the report, changed the datasource to a different DB but when you click to refresh and the parameter window comes up, the choices are still from the old data source. I have "Browsed the data" for the new datasource, typed in a valid parameter and it worked fine. I just want it to have the current values and not the old ones, any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Bad news Bryan - Crystal report parameters are NOT dynamic. When you create a parameter, you can key in the defaults, load them in from a table/field in your report, or import them from a text file but they are NOT (nor have they ever been) dynamic. This is fine for things like states, but not fine for values that change often e.g. customer numbers. There's rumours that Crystal/BO will include this feature as part of v11, and there are some third-party products out there that provide this functionality. Of course, if you were calling your report from VB or ASP, you could create dynamic drop-down lists in your application.
