paramaters field leading spaces 1

I have a table field that has 3 leading spaces.
I want to make a parameter that the user can type in the field without the spaces.
right now if I put in "MT6001" it will produce 0 results, I have to add the 3 leading spaces for the report to produce a result" MT6001" how do I make the parameter add the spaces in front of the user input?

In select use

trim(yourfield) = {Your parameter}

hmm perhaps more explanation is in order
the field is a SKU with the following rules
letters must be in caps
must have 3 spaces before SKU

the parameter I want is
can include multiple values( is one of)
here is my current parameter
{riskugrp.sg_skugrup}={?SQL RANGE}
where {riskugrp.sg_skugrup}is the table field and {?SQL RANGE} is my parameter field

Trim({riskugrp.sg_skugrup})={?SQL RANGE}

What happens?

Ummm it works?
I had both lines in there which produced nothing, I had my line that just used the parameter then "and" your parameter, I didnt think to just modify my parameter. so the crapi had looked like
{riskugrp.sg_skugrup}={?SQL RANGE}and
Trim({riskugrp.sg_skugrup})={?SQL RANGE}
