Parallel Port External Enclosure

I have a generic parallel port 5-1/4 drive enclosure with an Asus 50x cdrom drive installed in it. I don't have any type of drivers for this thing. How would I go about getting it recognized on a system? Whether it be running 2000/xp etc? Thanks.

Plug it in, and do a new hardware search and see if Windows will find the device and install it. Other than that, If it was me, I would do a web search about drivers for a parallel CD-ROM device.
