Sorry for my approximatively english ...

Why can't I read french special letter (like é, è, à ...) from Encrypt Paradox Table with a Delphi program.
When I decrypt the table, I can read it with the letter's "ponctuation". No Problem

When I open the origianal bases with the Delphi program, I have all the information (with letter's "ponctuation").
The problem seem's to be when I encrypt the table. Someone tell's me it could be from the parameter of the windows registery base but where ...

If someone could help me, Thanks

GT1756,

I would start by making sure that:

1. The table's language driver is correctly set for your locale. This is a BDE setting. If the language driver of wrong on the table, you'll need to restructure it with Paradox or DBD to change it.

2. You have the most recent update for your version of BDE. The latest 32-bit version is 5.1.1 and the most recent 16-bit version is 2.52, though I've heard that international users should use 2.51 instead.

Barring that, I'd post in the Delphi group.

Hope this helps...
