Hi,
I am writing a large Database manipulation program that is currently using Paradox 7 tables. It seems that the amount of information being run through the program is too much for Paradox to handle currently. I have heard that there is a compatability patch out that deals with speed degradation issues..Is this true? Also..are there better tables that I can use so that my grid contols can properly handle mass amounts of information to be displayed to the GUI? How efficient are these Paradox 7 tables? Are there any Open Source Grid controls on the net that are more efficient for displaying large amounts of data then DBGrid?
Thanx
Jason

Sometimes it's best to re-evaluate whether or not your client needs to see /all/ of that information at once. Allowing them to put in a filter before querying the database will speed things up and help them find what they are looking for faster.

Just an idea - sometimes there's not much to be done about having too much data!
