Yes another one - I'm on a roll here. When firing up the Runtime Version 11 exe from a batch/script, I notice that the status bar does not display what is happening on the status bar e.g. compiling data C:\send\*.db.

It does in Paradox 7 so what may need to be configured to display the what is happening? I have checked the Status bar is checked.

Does showApplicationBar(True) help?

There's more you can do to get the 'other' status bar to show, but it requires a few WinAPI calls and is somewhat long.

Does the showApplicationBar(True) work?

A word of warning...

Moving the mouse over the status bar will result in an Unexpected General Protection Violation on some systems.

So hiding the status bar has its use.

Can you tell me how to prevent users from changing the status bar? Locked down environment doesn't prevent user right-mouse click except in the program they are running e.g. Paradox 11.

No idea.

Tell them not to. If they won't listen, fire them.

Kinda like telling them not to stick their hand in the fire. If they do anyway, do you pay the doctor bill?
