Greetings all.
I am trying to convert a Paradox 7 database into microsoft Access 2000 that came with Microsoft Office 2000Premium for my employer. As is, my Paradox is running kind of wierd, so if it could be directed more from the Access side, all the better...

[ul][li]I am trying to convert about 400 to 500 entries out of about 2000 into an Access Database[/li] [li]The other 1400-1500 entries are old and do not need to be converted over[/li] [li]And i need to do it without having to manually do it...no time [hourglass][/li][/ul]

Is this possible? How?

There are any number of ways to do this.

1. You could write a query to isolate the "good" Paradox records into their own answer table and then import the answer table into Access. Using (in Access) File | Get External Data | Import.

2. You could link the Paradox table in Access using File | Get External Data | Link and then run an Access query on the imported table to isolate the records you need.

There are probably some other ways to do this as well.

Thanks beanbrain, sometimes the answer is so obvious we miss it, eh?

It's only obvious if you already know the answer and are not suffering under time constraints. [thumbsup2]
