Paradox 4 installation?

I currently run Paradox 4 for DOS on a few old machines (Up to Pentium 150Mhz)
I have tried installing the program onto newer machines but it always crashes when I try to run it.
Error message:
Unexpected condition: GP0000AT PARADOX 28:12d7 -- Leaving Paradox
As these low powered machines are becoming scarce I need help.
I do not want to upgrade to a newer windows version as I have tried and found they are unreliable and prone to crashing.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Are you adding the:

-extk 15000

command-line argument? Neglecting to do that will result in that error.
