Just installed Corel Office Suite 10 Professional. I need to use Paradox 10 to import or read Access .mdb files. When using Import and using the Access file (.mdb) I always get the same error message.
"Could not open" (my file name) You need to install the Data Access Objects (DAO).

Just what does that mean, and how do I do it. I am using Windows XP Professional.

Thank you for all hour help.

FPE/EG,

It means you need to install the most recent version of MDAC ( Instructions are pretty straightforward.

Also, you'll want to use ODBC datasource to create a User DSN pointing to the Access MDB you want to use.

Once you've done that, use the Alias Manager to create an MSACCESS alias pointing to the User DSN you created.

Hope this helps...

FPE,

I have just completed a similar task, instead of importing from Paradox I exported the table from access as a paradox table.....worked a dream.
