Paradox 10 crashing in Win 10

Hi
I have been using Paradox 10 on my Win 10 machine for a few weeks & yesterday (stupidly) ran scannow in an effort to solve Excel pasting problem. Since then, Paradox runs for a while then crashes. I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling, but same problem
Any ideas??
