Paradox 10 under XP pro (+SP2) loads, expert appears, then MS error report, then automatic shut down. The computer is on a peer to peer network, my daughters XP home computer runs Paradox 10 fine.
I've tried deleting all .net and .lck files, uninstalling Pdox 7 and 8 and removing all pdox files, starting in safe mode, etc. Paradox runtime also crashes in similar fashion.
Any ideas?

Have you ever gotten it (Paradox) to run?

When you say you deleted all .lck files, did you first ensure that 'show hidden and system files' is CHECKED? XP won't show the .lck files if unchecked.

Also, have you tried deleting the toolbar files? You usually get an error message when they are to blame, but can't hurt. pdx*.cfg files, but make sure the hidden files setting is checked.

However, it sounds like there is something wrong with the experts system. And I've no knowledge or experience in that arena.

Try loading Paradox with the -c command line parameter, this will start Paradox with a clear desktop.
