Hello all!

Using VFP 6 in Win98 allowed me to define the paper size for a report (actually you could do that from the control panel,printers). I need this because I need to prin to a non-continuos invoice, that is, the invoices are fed manually to the printer, one by one. Now, I've changed to Win2000 but I'm not able to define the paper size or a "user defined" paper size. Because of that, whenever I print the invoice, it prints to a letter-sized paper. What can I do define paper sizes?

Thanks to all.

Are you sure? Did you install the drivers for whatever printer you're using? I just got a new computer with Win2000 and though I haven't yet hooked up a printer to it, I had no trouble just now installing the printer driver and it lists all sorts of paper sizes including a postscript custom size option. -- Dave

Dear Deadmod:
Yes, the driver is installed correctly, (EPSON EX-1000), but there is no way to define a custom size paper. Any other suggestions. Thanks

There is a way of doing this.

The problem is in Win2k as well as Nt they put custom forms
in a different place.

go to

Start-> settings ->printers
then got to
File ->server properties.

This is where you define custom form and name like
invoice form.

Then you can go to the printer and under device settings
you can select this new form as your paper.

I don't know why Mr Gates makes every product do it a
different way!!!!!!

Note I think at printing preferences I also set this paper.
Note on the General tab of printer property you can see
paper types.

Thank you Mark. I just solved my problem with your help. Thanks a lot.

Thank you Mark. I had the same problem and now it's solved. Grazie mille![afro]

I have to print Truckers Bills of Lading which are each custom (always 8.5 wide, but 5.5 or 7 or 8 long) and fed through multiple
old reliable panasonic dot matrix printers. I had been doing this with w98 and was recently forced to convert to w2000; end of custom form sizes...until I checked tek-tips and found your instructions on where to look in w2000 to create the form.

I don't know he is currently in Montreal playing at a bridge tournament. Do you think I should ask him. :)
