I am not going to pretend to know what I'm talking about so please bare with me. I'm a pc guy not a printer guy :)

One of our employee's uses a HP Laserjet 4 printer to print labels from that paper port on the front of the printer. This had worked for her for however long until about a week ago it suddenly stopped feeding.

She's not receiving any error message that I know. I happen to have a HP Lajerjet 4 Plus which seems like the same thing... so I tried printing from there with no success.

So I'm here looking for help :) I'm assuming there is some setup option of some sort that needs to be selected but don't know for sure. The printer seems to print just fine regularly but it will not feed from that front port at all.

We are using Win98.

If the printer has been reset, it might have "forgotten" the settng of the manual tray feeder. Also it is possible, that someone in the driver accidentally set it up for a wrong papersize and type. It might even be in the application used or printing these labels the error is located. Check there too if it is set up correctly.
