How do I use pantone colors in photoshop cs....can't find the library or anything.

it's the same in CS than it was in pevious versions,
color picker>custom

Moe: It could have been a real ugly situation, but luckily I managed to shoot him in the spine.

Open your Swatches Palette.

Theres a drop down menu there (little right pointing arrow).

Pop that open and all your swatch libraries are listed.

Bear in mind that Pantone colors are used in the printing industry and will not be represented well on your monitor (if you haven't already found this out. The problem lies in the how computer monitors render color. All monitors render color in RBG. When selecting a Pantone color, watch the little dot next to the color pallette - it will let you know if the Pantone color you select is web compatible. If it's not, it will change to the nearest available color in the RGB pallette.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

kinda right. cmyk is a smaller color space than rgb so all colors represented in cmyk COULD be represented in rgb. The big difference between somehting in print and something on the monitor is the light. The monitor EMITS light, while paper REFLECTS light. You'll never be able to match an image on the screen exactly with an image on paper because it'll never "look right" to you because of the differences in the way the image is hitting your eyes.

I know. Makes no real difference to the thread, but it's still an interesing fact that I learned when trying to match a web site to a piece of corporate marking material. :)

Live and learn.
