I'm working with a designer that only knows Quark, and my company is going to upgrade her to Illustrator CS. She needs to identify Pantone colors by number. I've been experimenting with Illustrator, and can't find an equivalent function. If I have a Pantone color #, coated or uncoated, how do I choose that color in Illustrator? Can that be done within the software itself, or do I have to find the CMYK or RBG equivalent of the Pantone color elsewhere?

Look under Window>Swatch Libraries. You'll find many Pantone swatch libraries in there.
