Has anyone run across a phone line making phantom calls. I don't know what kind of Mitel, it is in an large Inn. I have been told one room called another so they unplugged the set then it called reception.I know the the 66 block is dirty could bad wiring cause this?

You didn't say what system. So.... Assuming 3300.

A phone can be programmed to ring an extension if it's off hook too long with out a connection. Then any short in the wires could cause the phone to ring down. And ring down... and ring down... etc.

Form to do that is the "intercept handling" form.

I really don't think that likely in your case, though. I'd jump to the exorcism forum next.

I am not familiar with Mitel but I am pretty sure I found the problem. Got there today and there is a small drip above the bix panel, I didn't think Nortel made a black and green bix1A LOL. I replaced 3 bix blocks and all phones seem to be fine.
