Does anyone know if it is possible to generate panoramas in Flash via a stitched 360 image file?

Thanks!

Hi johnny

i had a go at this a while back and couldn't (personally) get it to work for me, although I only spent a few minutes trying (which leads me to believe it is possible). I'll go and talk to a friend and then get back to you unless someone else posts a solution in the meantime.

been on to my Photovista mate. Is that the software your using? He couldn't give me an answer because he doesn't have any 360 work on his newly formatted pc. However, and I offer this as an ignoramous as I haven't used this software yet, if you can save the 360 stitched file as a JPG such that one side "looks" like it would stitch onto the opposite side, then it would definitely be possible to program this jpg into flash to provide the panoramic effect, no probs at all.

If you post a link to a 360 jpg or e-mail it to me (if you don't want your handywork being nicked) I'll do the rest for you and let everyone know how it was done.

Just checked out the second of your links old. There's a bit where the guy says:

Here's an idea for this that I never got around to doing: Mask off the city so you can't see the plain blue sky. Make a second layer with clouds that slide at a different speed (slower) than the city. This would make quite a nice depth of field effect. NO I can't help you do it. YES it will require a fair amount of reworking of code. In any case, NOT EASY

I'll download the file tonight when I get the chance, but for anyone who's interested, this ISN'T as hard to achieve as this guy makes it out to be. I haven't checked out his scripting but it sounds like it's gonna be along the lines of "the gallery". Using which you would change TWO digits to create this second effect.

I'll refrain from posting the joke I had in mind regarding the origin of the smoke!
