I've spent an hour or so trying to figure out how to put together a panoramic picture composed of 2 or more digital pictures. Is it possible using PS7?
Thanks.

Yes it is possible, it just might be a bit of a chore depending on the colors, how well they can be put together, and the angle on both pics.

You should be able to do it fairly easily.

Hope this helps!

Easier to do in Elements than PS7?

Ahhhh, the fun of assembling a panorama, only slightly more fun than a root canal!

1)Get all of your component images opened and sized the same.

2)Based on the size of the images, create a canvas the same size or slightly narrower than the images. If you're making a wrap around- leave yourself room to crop at the ends.

3)Use the skew and free transform to line up the perspective problems. Smooth it out with the rubber stamp, smudge, and dodge and burn tools.

4)Don't make any plans for lunch!

Hope this helps

Definitely possible but depending on the pictures it can go from easy to very difficult.

One trick I use is when I'm trying to line up the pictures is I lower the opacity of the upper layer to around 50%, this will allow me to see the picture underneath it and helps me with lining up the two. You may also want to play with deleting parts of the edge of the upper layer. You may find that some object line up perfectly and others don't such as a tree blowing in the wind next to a fixed structure such as a house. Be creative and I'm sure you'll be able to come up with a great looking panorama.

Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

I use ULEAD 360 (£13) for doing panoramic's. It is far easier than using Photoshop (which I use for everything else).

The software also allows you to export a 360 MOV file - what more could you ask for...?
