Need to understand how to get DTMF to pass from user station when set up on a T1 line. Also the phone company says they can't provide dialtone, once user is on a CO line. Does anyone know how to set the "wink" timing options.

Thanks
Matthuw

you need a cisco csu on the t1 that gives 90volt ringing and
-48volt dc 23ma plain old loop start dialtone if you
are in the usa and trying to connect to a KX-T 123211D

The 123211 does not support T1!

A CSU does NOT provide ringing, dialtone, loopstart or groundstart ANYTHING!

A channelbank or T1 multiplexer with DS0 capability and the appropriate configuration or module will provide this type of service and more.......

Thanks to those who posted. I used to be a Systems engineer for Datatel back in the days. They merged with Case communications and built CSUs and T-1 multiplexers with channel bank capabilities. So I am familure with the lingo and function. We were able to get DTMF to work, but second dial tone is still not working and will not probably without a channel bank/T-1 mux providing it for the T-1 supplied lines.

Thanks again.

mat get a td 1232 and put a t1 card in it and you wont need a channel bank!!
