my blueface account is active, but my TGP550 phone just stopped working.
i deleted all the settings from the phone, and programed them all in again.
but the status lamp just keeps flashing orange, any ideas,
what broadband do you have, was it upgraded or modem changed around that time alg settings on modems should be disabled on the router as it can cause problems
from the web interface of the phone can you ping the sip.blueface.com
my broadband was changed to efibre in the summer and the phone worked ok till xmas eve.
ALG is disabled, the phone usually registers to : cust.ie.blueface.com
how do i ping this from the phone web interface!
through the phone you can enable web interface, check what the ip address is and enter it into the address bar in your browser
in there you should have option to ping.
Just a note, did you default the modem when eir sent out the notice about the virus if so did you check for alg/ sip helpers were turned off again
try to download a sip phone like x-lite on to your pc and see if that works.
other than that you would have to use something like wireshark to see what is happening. did you ring Blueface to see if they are receiving any requests from you
