HI there,

I have a new TES824 just installed few month ago with the basic default setup of 3 lines, extension card..last week port 5 went faulty..i plugged a phone directly to the port, i can hear the power tone but no dial tone. Is there any way i can bring this port back to life?

Cheers

oh i am sorry, this is TES824NZ...can anybody give a clue on this issue?

Plug the phone directly into port 4 and see if it works. If it does, then you might unplug all extensions and see if it affects port 5. If it doesn't (the phone plugged into port 4) then check the line cord or the phone. The line cord needs to be 4-pin.

hi tes 824 is hybrid system and rj11 you set the 2&3 rj 11 and plug analog phone if dont work port is faulty

the tes824 was working and i think this fault may have been caused by power surge or from lightening..can this still be fixed..
