Hi all,

I have a question regarding the above combo please. I installed a TES824 for my main contractor, and another subcontractor connected the BPT to it. When the IT300 rings the 824, certain features do not work, such as delayed ringing, or call divert. This appears to be because of the cadence of the ringtone provided by the BPT - it doesn't ring like a regular telephone line does, and therefore the 824 doesn't "react" normally internally.

I know the 824 isn't faulty because when I connect a PSTN to the phone input terminals on the BPT, and call in on the PSTN, the call goes via the BPT to the 824, and the delayed ringing works perfectly.

So the only difference I can see is that the BPT ringtone cadence (generated/sent by the BPT when the door bell is rung) is different to the cadence that a PSTN line sends.

Does anyone have any ideas about solutions to this please? Thanks in advance!

Sorry guys - I think the BPT item is an IT200 not an IT300 - I am not 100% sure though as it came from the door entry guy rather than via me!
