Hi Guys,
I am installation a Panasonic TDA 30 to replace and existing NEC Xen Alpha system fr customer.
After doing some investigating it appears that the NEC Xen Alpha has a paging port connected to an externl AMP and Speakers used for paging as well as loud ring for incoming calls - both these features using the same paging port on the NEC and single AUX on pager. It looks like this port on NEC has both paging and an extension built into one.
I'm no NEC expert but I am assuming in config they can configure this port to ring on pager as part of hunt group for incoming calls as well as page out on same port.
Having said all that - is there any way to configure the EPG port on the Panasonic to do both paging and also generate a ring pulse for incoming calls like the NEC could?
Problem is the existing AMP on site only has one AUX port.
I know in the TDA 30 config there is section in "Optional Devices/External Pager" - there is a floating ext number, and when I dial that number you can here the "engaged tone" presented through the external speakers connected to amp. But when I add this extension number into a hunt group then call the hunt group ext I don't get any sound at all.
Any ideas??
Thanks you.
Chris
