Hello

I have a problem with the Panasonic NCP 1000. The switch has two 2 port ISDN 2 cards both have steady green lights however when I press the line key it says "line not assigned". I have checked the properties of each card and both have "fault" against each individual circuit. Openreach have tested the circuits and say they are ok. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Which phone are you using?,
Have you assigned the line on the phone button ?
Has it worked before or its a new installation?

You cam make test ISDN card

STEP 1
- disconect ISDN device from PBX
- power off PBX and pull-out ISDN card
- move the slide switch of port 2 to B position
- pull-in ISDN card and power on
- connect to PBX
- change status ISDN card to OUS
- write down the settings of ISDN card
- for port 2 change "port type" to EXTENSION
- change status ISDN card to INS
- connect UTP cable between port 1 and port 2
- if both LEDs are on (or one is flashing), the connection is working and go to STEP 2
- if not working the problem is in the card, try with another cards

STEP 2
- press line key of port 1 ( or local access nummber 0/9), it should get the dial tone of PBX
- dial another EXT nummber ( in my case Ext 124)
- if it rings and has audibility, everything works ( CONGRATULATIONS !!! ) so you need to look for a problem with the operator
- you can follow the communication through Utility / ISDN/Qsig protocol trace

STEP 3

return all changes from STEP 1
