Panasonic kx-ts208w Dropping calls when placed on hold

2 line system, doesn't seem to matter if both lines are occupied or not. Place call on hold, and caller gets disconnected. Sometimes it's immediately, sometimes it's after a few minutes.

Are these analogue lines and if so have you tried plugging slt phone direct into line and tested?
