Panasonic KX TES824 extension ports not working.

Good Day,


I have a telephone setup here extension port 1-16 is ok i can make incoming and outgoing calls.
but 17-24 is not working.

Now we have a new staff here. So I need to add line

I have voice ports along with dataports:

First when i plug the phone to voice port there's no dial tone, So I make troubleshooting i check the cables and telephone is OK when I plug to "live ports".

So i assume maybe the voice port is not working. I change the ports but still no dial tone. Then I go to PABX put the phones directly to jack 17-24 all of them is not working.


They are lock? How can I activate those jack ports(extension ports)?

Note when I call 17-24 they are ringing but when I put the phone (No Dial tone)

How many CO Line ports are on that card?, what is the part No?
Card 2 and card 3 i think sit in different positions

Are you trying to use kxt77xx key phones as the kxtes only supports the first 16 as key sets last 8 are slt only

@obtsystems I use kx-t7730 phones i don't have any analog phone here,

It's possible the last 8 is only support analog/standard phone?

KX-TE82483 -> 3CO + 8SLT
KX-TE82480 -> 2CO + 8SLT, the last crd.
KX-TE82480 should be the card with extensions 17 - 24.

The allowed expansion cards in the res is 1x 3co and 8 hybrid extension and they you have a choice of either 2 co and 8 slt or 0 co and 8 slt

I think if you put in a 3 co and 8 hybrid it ignores the co and DP part of the card

Ok I saw my cards
Card 1: CO 1 2 3 Extension 1-8
Card 2: CO 4 5 6 Extension 9-16
Card 3: CO 7 8 Extension 17-24

Then why this card 3 don't have dial tone?
But when i dial the number they are ringing.

I am beginning to think insufficient power to power the KX-T7730 phones.
Checked power requirements for maximum KX-T7730 supported on the KX-TES824?

I would like to sugest that you get an ordinary KX-TS500 analog phone and test with ports 17 - 24 before moving forward.

You have 16 Pcs of KX-T7730 on KX-TES824?.
Also i thought Max number of PTs(KX-T7730, KX-T7735) was 8

yap 1-16 are working only 17-24 don't have dial tones but rinngin.

Ok I will test with the analog first and check

It will ring because it is analogue ext and all ports will ring if no phones are plugged in

It is not a power issue. The usa system will handle 24 key sets the Europe version won’t
