I have a KX-T816 phone system. When someone is on line one and a call comes in on line 2 it does a quick blurp and that is it. It does not ring continuous. If you call line 2 and no one is on line one it will ring and ring. Any suggestions?

if this is the same phone the person is on that is the ringing phone it does not give a full ring just call waiting bleeps on the speaker. 7311 in the uk system turns on call waiting prog 99 then 52 will change the tone

When I activate the call waiting then it works. The second line will ring when user is on the first line. After a few days it goes back to not ringing. The user uses a call forward feature at night and then deactivites during the day. The use *72 to turn it on and then a #73 to deactivate. Could this being turning off and on the call forwarding and that is why it works and then doesnt? Thanks,
