Pardon the newbie question, but I haven't worked much with Panas.

From reading the manual it looks like there's no way to get creative with line assignment -- make CO Line 1 ring only on Set 11, CO Line 2 and 3 both ring on Set 12, etc. Looks like you get every line on every set no matter what, though you can tweak the ringing and callout preferences. Am I missing something?

Thanks.

you can through main programming, day/night/lunch ring I think it is prog 408/409/410

Panasonics don't change, just the manual. A 61610 KSU acts just like a TA series when you couple it wiht a 70xx 71xx 77xx phone. You put the switch in PROGRAM or press the button, press the CO button and dial 0x for lines, 1x for extensions, and 2x for speed dial programming. You do your own homework on what blanks the button, but if you press CO6 and dial 01 store, co5 01 store etc, when you get to CO1, the 2-6th button will be "not stored".

The fun begins because there are 3 different (4 if you're not in the U.S.) manuals. Generally look in 07 and 08 for outward assignment and 09 and 10 for inward DAY/NIGHT access and ringing.
IIRC those number stayed fairly in the same position. You might want to grab both a manual and cheat sheet for the features and addendums.
