Hey Everybody;
I have a Laser printer we had shipped from another office in the US. We are in Canada and therefore do not qualify for service, as this printer was not sold in Canada. They claim the printer worked before it was shipped but it was dead on arrival (DOA)
When powered on the printer would post and then just hang on the system startup. I pulled all the trays, cartridges and boards from the printer. All said and done, I was able to find the board that seems to be causing the problem. With the problematic board pulled it now gives an error code.
The error code is E05-12. Does anyone know this error code? or have the service manual for this printer?
Also the board I pulled, seems to control the modem, and fax functions. The C/N is DZEP000476, would it be possible to replace this board?
Should I call Panasonic's support line? I am afraid they will give me grief because the printer is not sold in Canada.
