Panasonic digital 1232 XDP port not ringing

I have a client with a PANASONIC KX-TD 1232 DIGITAL SUPER HYBRID

I have hooked up a cordless phone to ext-106 I made sure that in Program 600 that XDP is disabled (I want it to be the same ext number) I dialed intercom 391 but the phone does not ring. The digital phone rings. I also made sure that BGM is off and that the auto answer button is off. I also tried my butt set, Is there something that I am missing or could there be something wrong with the cabinet ?

Do you get dial tone on the XDP port? You could try a station feature clear and then make your settings again and see if that works.

you have to dial 691 to enable ringer on parnell phone or I think its 369 on USA systems.

if that does not work, plug out digital phone and only have slt phone in and see if it rings, could be a ring gen problem

I tried all these things and still no ring. Does any one know if the ring generator is built on to the main board or is it some thing that can be replaced ?

How about something simple? UNPLUG the digital phone, plug the analog phone into the jack and dial 106 from another phone. If it rings, you have a programming problem.

I have plugged the phone in direct and still nothing. It was mentioned that the ring generator is part of the power supply. A few months ago I replaced the power supply on this KSU from another 1232 that I had I did that so I would not have to reprogram the whole thing over again. But is the ring generator on the Power supply or is it plugged into it. I still have the power supply I pulled out and I still have that spare KSU I used.
