Hello. I am trying to set up the speed dial numbers in my phone system and it says you need a password each time you set up a SD (speed dial) code. Our system was set up by some techy and I have no idea if a password was set.
We have a D1232 Digital Super Hybrid System # KX-TVS100.
How do I retrieve the system password? And is there such a thing? We are a small company and I am a new employee trying to help them set things up.
Appreciate any help.

Thank you...it seems to work except I must be doing something wrong as when I test dialing the speed dial code I just get constant beeps. I will keep trying.

When you define a speed dial, remember you must put a trunk route access code as the first digit(s)

In other words, if you want speed dial location 010 to grab any available trunk and dial 555-1234, you must put a 9 in front of the number. (this of course begs the question you use 9 as your local trunk route access code)

So when you look at the number stored in location 010, it will appear to be "95551234"

You can put a pause after the 9, but it's usually not required.

We don't dial 9 for an outside line if I'm understanding you correctly. Do I have to have some kind of trunk access code??

add either a 9 or 8X (X=1-8)prefix or it won't work.

WONDERFUL...it worked adding the 9.
THANKS VERY MUCH !!!
