System is a gateway running XP.
Palval.exe is located in windows\system32\

icun.exe is in the default user\...startup\ directory.

If I delete both files, they reappear when I reboot. I don't know what they do, but fear the worst.

I delete the files, then delete all files in the windows\prefetch directory.

Further testing showed that killing the palval.exe process only results in the program getting launched again immediately.

What are these and how do I get rid of them ( or should I)?

Thank you!

Update: I found nail.exe in the windows directory. Went through some steps to get rid of it and it seems like this might have removed my problem with palval.exe and icun.exe running. Possibly all the programs (nail, aurora, palval, icun) are related.
