Hello,

I am new to palms but we have just begun to support them, our e-mail system is HP openmail (with server store) and I have a user who has openmail with server store who is trying to sync his zire to outlook. I set it up using the outlook conduit, should i be using the other one that's available? (wasn't sure of the difference)...anyway, here's problem...

syncing up the contacts and the calendars work perfect, it is set up to sync tasks but doesn't at all...i've also set up versamail and I was under the impression that even though they force you to enter pop3 or imap settings into versamail if you click the "synchronize only" checkbox it will skip this but it doesn't appear to....

here is the sync log...

it errors on checking the mail on the server (which i thought it wasn't supposed to with that option checked) and doesn't seem to continue with the sync with the outlook inbox...

is this the way it's sposed to work? am i missing something? what's with the error and not syncing....

also i was wondering if you have an additional PST in outlook is there a way to specify to sync with a folder other than the default inbox...?

sorry, lotsa questions, i've been fooling with this for about 3 hours in total and i'm unsure if i'm doing something wrong or if it just doesn't work, maybe need a software update or something?....any help is appreciated.

thanks,
Juan

hrm, perhaps not trying to check the mail server..."couldn 't log onto desktop mail system", i have outlook selected and the users profile and password...there is nothing else to fill out here...any ideas what might be generating that error?
