Hello,

I recently moved my Palm m505 cradle from my desktop computer to my new laptop. I hooked it up, downloaded the latest Palm Desktop Software and installed the driver for it. It will synch up fine, but for some reason, it won't charge, the green light at the top of my palm doesn't come on. Does anyone know how I can fix this, or why this would be happening? I never had this problem before...

Thanks,

With the Palm cradle USB connection to a PC, it is possible to hotsync just fine without charging your Palm if you have neglected to plug the power supply unit (which provides the charging power) into an electrical outlet and/or connect its output plug into the USB connector on the PC. Another symptom of this is when you've selected "Stay on in cradle" in the preferences, but the palm does not stay on in the cradle. That's because the setting really means "stay on when charging" and without the power supply being plug in, the palm is not charging.

Thanks for the help. The power connection had come undone when I switched the connection from my desktop to my laptop.

Thanks Again Eddie Martin
