palm phonebook to outlook contacts

Hopefuly someone can help me'
Everything syncs fine except for the contacts. I have the contacts under outlook separated into groups, but after I sync with the Palm505, I have one big list again and have to redo the groups. Can I fix this??

Have you tried changing the synchronization type for the HotSync manager to "desktop overwrites handheld". The default option is for the handheld to overwrite the desktop, which could definately cause problems to the way you've organized your contacts in Outlook (especially if they're organized it a way the Palm address book doesn't support).
