IS-IT--Management
We have a network where I work. We have an employee that has a Palm M130. We have Windows XP Pro.
Problem.
Palm will not HOT SYNC when employee is logged on to the network. Also when he tries to open the Palm Desktop he gets the error "EXPREPRT.EXE MODULE NOT FOUND".
I was the one that installed the software. It would work fine for me when logged on to the local machine as an administrator. HOT SYNC works fine and the Palm Desktop does not display the error message when opeining. So I created a the employee a local administrator account on the local machine. To HOT SYNC he has to log off of the network and then log back on as the administrator on the local machine.
This employee is head of the maintenance department and now has to coordinate with several contractors on a 65 million dollar expansion project. He takes lots of notes while on the job site. He HOT SYNCS them with his Palm Desktop so that his secretary has access to his notes if he is not in the office.
I have gone to every folder and registry entry and gave him full control on his local administrator login and also on his network login. HOT SYNC still doesn't work when he is logged on to the network. The Palm Desktop still gives the error message when he is logged on to the network. If he logs on to the local machine then everything works fine.
What next?
