Palm IIIxe and beyond contacts

I am currently giving the beyond contacts trial version 4.003 a go for my Palm IIIxe. However, I am having problems with the hotsync. I have tried hotsync several times since I have downloaded and installed the product.

What happens with my palm is when I go to use beyond contacts the contacts, tasks and calendar seem to work but when I try to view or create a note I get the following message:

No database found on device. Please synchronize agian to bring your Outlook data to your handheld

But of coarse when I do this the same error occurs.

I have tried contacting Beyond contacts support but because it is only the trial version the support site is limited and they do not have this error posted.

If anyone knows how to correct this problem that would be great. Someone did suggest I may have to change a setting in my registry but they were not sure of the procedure Any help with this issue would be great.

By the way I have windows xp pro and microsoft outlook 2002 sp1
