palm desktp... losing USB sync option HELP

hello,

the desktop software keeps losing the option to install via USB, i unintall re-install and its there and i can sync fine. reboot a few times and it doesnt have the USB sync otpion, just serial, network ect..

i am using the software that came with the palm.. any ideas?
mabye i should use a more up to date software??
