I want to "import" a file such as a doc, xls or pdf file info a field (OLE) in a table.

I can open a pathfinder and select the file but I only get, at best, the filepath.
However when paisting in i.e. a mail I see the file selected via pathfinder.

Has anyone the solution to this problem - Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Please post MS Access questions in one of the many MS Access forums like forum705.

Please enlighten me; a question concerning VBA why not ask it in the VBA Visual Basic for Applications (Microsoft) Forum.

Allthough concerning access its still a VBA question.

Last I would never take time of to enter the above reply

Since Access has so many dedicated questions when compared to the other Office applications, and since Access is itself a whole different world than the others in regards to how the code must be written, Access really needs its own forum.

Post your question in the other forum, and then put a link here to your new question, so folks can follow.

The reason I took the time to enter the above reply, is because I care that members find the best information in the timeliest manner.

Yes, this is VBA, but more MS Access VBA coders are browsing forum705 than are browsing forum707.
