painter 9 will not acquire adobe illustrator files

Hi -

When I try to acquire an AI file, I get an error message - something about a filter - I have tried saving the AI file down to AI8, because I did this with Painter 8 - are there new rules w/Painter 9?

Or am I missing a plugin or something?

Thanks for any help, I've been looking for days for a solution - :-O

I am not sure about the filter error you are recieveing, but I had a similar problem importing AI files. My solution was to save all the way down to AI3. Give that a shot.
