paint window

hi everyone....i was reading this book today on working with director...in one part it says to select the image in the paint window...but i cant, i try many things but it doesnt do anything...the book simply says to "select the image and resize"...but I CANT!!! its very annoying, please help!

The paint window is a VERY basic paint application, no resize. What exaclty is it your trying to do? Chances are what they wanted to say is select a picture on the stage and resize it. Add a picture to the stage by dragging it from your cast onto the display area, click on it then you can move and resize it.
