Paint Shop Pro 9 vs Photoshop CS

Hi,

I have recently changed from using photoshop cs to paint shop pro 9 (mainly due to cost!).

My problem is that I can't seem to compress jpgs and gifs to the same size in paint shop pro as I could in photoshop.

Using photoshop I seem to be able to get files to over 5 times smaller than paintshop.

I am going to export as jpg and using the wizard but is just not being as effective.

Has anybody else experiences this??

Not got the kind of money to spend on Photoshop, so I can't compare it's jpeg compression algorithm. However you might want to check out the tool at

http://www.yafla.com/papers/purejpeg/filter_unnecessary_jpeg_info_such_as_exif.htm

for squeezing out some extraneous bytes.
