Paging with Nortel Companions

I have hooked up an external paging system to my MICS. I had to hookup a zone page module from bogen.To access a zone you dial the external page access number F63_ then press 1,2 or 3 for each zone, This works fin with sets but the companion does not produce a tone when paging, so there is no way to access a zone. Please Help

you would have to dial feat 6 3 1 (activate internal zone 1) then another 1 to activate the external page device (you may have to wait a second or so before entering the second 1.

I tried that. when you press the 1 to activate external zone a tone is produced, when i press it after a few seconds with the companion there is no tone so i assume that it is not activating the zone.

Activate 'long tones' in the options menu.
