paging to a Upam over t1

I have an IPO connected to a magix via a pri. the upam is on the magix and is ext 499. when i call 499 from the IPO i get the connection tone from the upam but not talk path is available. How ever it works on the magix fine. the short code is 499 dial 499 line 2. does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on

Try changing your short code to dial page and see if it helps.

On the magix, can you call in on its lines ringing to the paging ext, and have the paging work? That is what you are trying from the IPO to the magix coming in on the PRI?

Might try routing to a resource on the magix, and fwd to the page ext, or to VM with a time out to paging ext.

Another option, have the PRI route to a trunk to trunk tansfer on a magix line port. Connect magix line port to to a magix analog ext port. outcall number to be dialed, the magix page port.

the paging on the magix is setup as an extension and is connected to a upam that auto answers the call. when i call it on the magix it works fine. when i call it from the ipo the upam answers but there is no talk path.
The magix and ipo are connected via a t1 cross cover cable about 20 feet long that is setup 5ess att call by call.
