Paging thru Sets Question??? 1

Hello Gents!
Strange issue at a recent large install and wanted to know if this is ignorance on my part, a possible configuration issue, or design intent.

IP Office 8.1.65.
I configured a hunt group for "group page" through the set speakers.
A couple of users have complained that if they are listening to voicemail (VM Pro) and a page comes through, they get cut off from the voicemail.
Is this normal?
The documentation states that calls in progress are not interrupted.
Is the connection to voicemail not considered a call?

Sound like a "hidden feature" aka a bug to me.
I have not heard of it before but these two things are hardly used by our customers.

A simple mind delivers great solutions
 
This should be a bug as system status shows a phone on a call when using visual voicemail.
So calling voicemail is a real call.

I would verify the issue. Are they using Visual Voice or the message button?

I've only been working with IPO for a few years ... a relative noob IMHO.
The knowledge level of the members of this forum tremendously overshadows my own, so I really do appreciate anything shared.

Sure it makes a difference.

I always verify the issue before I troubleshoot anything. Never take someone elses word for anything.

I know if you are using visual voice and you are navigating to the messages (before you hit listen) you can be interrupted by a phone page.

I am 100% remote config/support.
I did have my site contact verify and the report I got back was the user was actually listening to her voicemail through the handset.
I also had another report of a user that had just pressed the "listen" button when a page came through and cut her off, so she may not have been fully connected at that point.
I'm going to ask my contact to do more testing.
