any phone set to auto answer will act as a single paging speaker, analog does not do auto answer. set the dig to voice without any other features. i have used the spk leads for a page input with a impenence matching transforner but not a great work around. you can try group call to auto answer stations but not sure if those two features work together. in an sl1 never believe anyone who answers with a NO. most of the time there is a work around.
That is a good idea, unfortunately I am looking for a solution that will make the phone act more like an overhead speaker (not two-way communication). The phone is located in a fairly noisy enviornment and I do not want the entire building to hear that when the attendant uses the overhead paging system.
i have taken the spk leads to a self powered valcom spkr but that can be a problem also. my switch room phone pages through my pc spks but most users would find that hard to control, ringing, hands free etc. give the att a voice call to the person. i would add a page zone for the area with one spkr. a cleaner way
Handsfree Voice Call provides the option of configuring VCC/DIG (with voice option) to be answered in either Handsfree mode or loudspeaker only mode. Calls answered in loudspeaker only (HVD) mode establish a oneway voice path from the calling telephone to the destination telephone.
If RookieHHS wants the paging to come through the phone's speaker I don't think this is going to help. This would work if the attendant calls this set directly, but I don't think this is what RookieHHS wants.
do a auto term, to a station or give the user a separate zone, if you want to page one person with a voice call, either use dig's or a singe zone for the operator access. o must have missed your question completely.
