Just thought I'd let you know how I did this, at a fraction of the price of a Valcom system.
In my computer room, I have a phone that isn't used that often so I took it apart and soldered speaker cable to the red/black cable at the actual speaker. Then put the phone back together.
This speaker cable goes to a rack mounted 400 watt amplifier bought from Maplin for £99.00 (special offer in September).
I then laid 100metres of speaker cable from my computer room into the warehouse, then placed 2 speakers (100watt Disco type speakers - £39.99 from Maplin) at 2 points in the warehouse.
Now when we tannoy/page, the warehouse can hear instead of trying to listen to the 3 phones located around our warehouse.
Total Cost (including cables, solder, soldering iron, connecters) about £230'ish...
Hope this helps,
Carl.
