Paging System Strobe Alert

Does anyone know of such a product that would hook into say a 70volt system and activate when it senses activity on the line?

You could use a paging adapter that will close a contact via vox sensor. Look at Bogen, Valcom or Viking - they all have something that you can make work for this application.

What do you mean 70 volt system? what exact system are we talking about?

When you mean activity in what form is there activity? depends again on what system we are talking about assuming its not phones.

Basically its a standard page port on a nortel system, it's connecting to a bogen 70v amplifier. I am looking for a way to activate a strobe light whenever someone is paging.

Use the External Page port for the Strobe light

Or use a matching transformer to connect 70V to input of page adapter (MUST (must) use an appropriate matching transformer!). Many page adapters support closing a contact on sensing voice - often with some adjustment. Granted, this is now how page adapters are designed to be used - but there's no reason that it shouldn't work.
