Good afternoon all. Well, I haven't been to school yet but I got my feet wet by cutting over two small systems in the past few days! I'm liking the Call Manager and Unity systems. My Newtork Engineer and I have a few questions so if possible, please help with my following questions....

** I need to hook up a Valcom talk back paging unit to the FX0 port #1. We want to dial the access code of "81" and create a "talk path" there to connect to the Vaclcom.

** On a 6-line system where all users show the other peoples lines on their phones and a user calls out on their personal extension the other users can see the number they dialed on their phone display and it stays there until they hang-up.

** Again on the same 6-line system, If the main number rings in and someone answers it the others can't see/tell who answered it because it doesn't show their extension off hook (busy). It only shows the main number's extension busy.
Thanks in advance for helping this long time PBX guy get into the groove of the 21st century. And while I got you by the "eyes", Are the help screens/text on Call Manager and Unity good? Do you have any recommendations for documentation until I can get schooled?
Thanks again!

If your running MGCP, setup the fxo endpoint with an access number of 81

create a route pattern starting with 81 and add .x
example 81.X ( X is page zone ). Use pre-dot and point to the FXO end point connected to the valcom.

Questions two I have no idea. Your talking about a squared system.

Question Three: You may want to install a side car for a DSS/BLF functions....

For reference you can down load SRND 4.x or whatever your desire from Cisco's web site...

Daily Thought: Some people are like slinkies. Not really good for anything but they bring a smile to your face when
pushed down the stairs.
